Introduction to Hotglue

The main specification of this proeject was to get used to the online services and tools that Hotglue.me provided and make sure I was confident enough to create a design portfolio using this package.

Above was the introduction to hotlgue video which was the first bit of research I conducted to gain a greater understanding of the software and tools available and how I could manipulate them to suit my needs.

Hotlgue is designed for beginners however more experienced people are able to download their site onto their own server.

Tools:

This menu would appear when I left clicked on the background of a page. From this page I could use four different tools which included; inserting text, uploading a file, embeding a video and embed another website. I used the majority of these tools within my practice to create different media types within the webpage.

This menu would appear if I double clicked on the background of the page. This gave me more tools that i wold use to edit the page and the rest of site. It enabled me to create pages, edit background colours/images, view other pages and other options.

Above you will see an example of one of the pages I created during the practice and introduction of hotglue. The idea was to test the majority of the tools to make sure I had the ability to create a profestional portfolio using Hotglue.

I tried to use the majority of the tools and as you can see I used tools such as; uploading files/images including animated gifs, embeding video, using text fields and linking text fields to other pages.
