Design Portfolio

The aim of this project was to create an mobile application using the online tool 'AppFurnace' either for an event of our choice or a freshers guide. We could use any of the tools available on AppFurnace however the app needed to serve a purpose.

The image on the left shows some of my initial designs that I created including the scope of the application as well as the initial 2 pages layout and functionality. The purpose of the application I was going to create was to inform the user about Reading Festivlal however I needed to create the app with the 2014 information due to the availability of the 2015 line up. As well as the line up, the app would also contain a festival checklist, pop ups including the headliners and the site map.

Above is the code I used for the Popups. The popup will be activiated when the user is in the designated 'zone' or stage area. It will then show the user the headliners for each stage. On the left is an example of the PopUp for the main stage. The screenshot also shows how the app looks on my android device.

Above are the different zones I created for some stages which will activiate the popups I mentioned before.

Above are the different pages of my application some screenshots are from the online tester in appfurnace which allowed me to test the application on different sized screens to check the content and functionality. The bottom two are from a test I conducted on my own mobile android device.
